ancora ossessioni

Signore e signori, ecco a voi un nuovo post della serie "ossessioni".
Questa volta, a ossessionarmi è I Loves You Porgy, uno dei brani più belli dell'opera "Porgy and Bess", musicata da George Gershwin nel 1935 su testi del fratello Ira e di DuBose Heyward.
E' la terza scena del secondo atto: Bess, che è fidanzata con il cattivo Crown, dichiara il suo amore a Porgy e gli chiede di proteggerla e di tenerla con sé, per sempre - o almeno finché è possibile, finché Crown non tornerà a reclamarla.

(Per la cronaca: alla fine il povero Porgy ammazzerà in duello Crown, ma Bess lo pianterà per scappare a New York con l'ambiguo Sportin' Life, contrabbandiere e spacciatore di cocaina. Così va la vita...).
